Welcome!
This is a blog dedicated to the Porsche 986 Boxster!

Porsche 986 Boxster (1996–2004) was the successor to the Porsche 924/944/968 family. There are some very good Boxster sites online. However, it was difficult to find a website in Finnish. So, as a passionate car enthusiast and very interested in Boxster, I decided to create a dedicated page for Boxster. And from words to action. I published the blog in Finnish. Unfortunately, the Finnish language is not the easiest to understand ☹️ and I wanted to share the information gathered with all Boxster enthusiasts. So my blog also turned out in English ?. I will try to compile this blog as comprehensively as possible with the Boxster information. There are few articles on Wikipedia:

My attitude towards Porsche has always been a bit ambivalent. Especially the 911s are really good looking, high-performance, and do great when testing performance and maneuverability. I have almost always been a staunch supporter of the German car industry in my daily drivers and Porsche seems to have been built with the same reliability mentality as Mercedes, BMW and Audi. On the other hand, compared to the temperamental Italian stallion, Porsche seems kind of boring and even normal in the sports car world. Maybe that’s why I think so. One day, however, I ended up in a Porsche store and tested 997 and 996. Especially the latter seemed very enjoyable to drive. It’s like driving a go-kart in normal traffic, though with a better suspension. But that time the Porsches stayed in the store ☹️.

For some reason, when I read about cars, I often ran into Porsche 986 Boxster. Almost always its maneuvering performance was praised and considered superior to others by giving more value for money. A full-blooded sports car, but for the price of a used everyday car. I was interested. I started collecting information about Porsche’s success model, which was also made in Finland ??. Surprisingly, I read that the 986 and the 996, that I drove, share the same front lid, front fenders, headlights, interior design, and even the same engine architecture. In the Boxster, the engine is in the middle, making it at least theoretically more balanced than the 911 is. My interest in the 986 increased even further and I began to gain the courage to get my own Boxster! Let’s see what happens next ?!
